Heres a little bit about myself so that we can break the ice…


Hey I’m Jack, Director of Cousto Media.

As you can tell I am not much of a model...

I’m from a small town in the south of the infamous country of England. A country that sadly is becoming immensely hard to become successful.

“A graveyard of dreamers” as I’d like to call it.

But I said no.

No… to not going to a corporate company.

No… to becoming who my “boss” wants me to become for his own benefit.

No… to the future financial struggles of living pay-check to pay-check raising a family in an everlasting cost of living crisis.

I’ve always been a dreamer…

Having the imagination to create my own reality throughout my childhood was a gift and a curse that saw me through my schooling years. But when it all ended I was left paranoid and anxious at what was to come for myself in the future.

After reflecting on what I enjoyed at school, English stuck out. I became fascinated that everything and anything we do and know came from the use of word sequences and language, from what’s been invented in this world, to how you met your wife to start a family, to ordering food at a restaurant etc.

I put 2 and 2 together and realised I could study and utilise this skill to create something for myself.

From working in high end clothing sales, I’d fine tuned my verbal sales communication.

To creating websites for products to sell during the covid pandemic, I fine tuned my persuasive sales writing.

And an enjoyable hobby of mine, writing poems and songs which dives into the understanding of emotive language .

So I’ve combined all those skills to create my own freelance marketing agency.

It’s a big ambition of mine to generate my own purpose and success, and in order to create that I understand you have to put your all in to get something out.

I have never respected agency’s that use the word clients to belittle the people that are ultimately funding their success. It’s more than a client, it’s a partnership.

A real marketing agency with attention to detail will learn and understand the fundamentals of their partners company and write from their point of view. Meaning any piece of content written by myself will fly under the radar as a marketing piece. Compared to the usual obvious sales pieces that viewers will scroll past and never read.

In this newly born technological generation it’s become increasingly easy to decipher a marketing strategy from a piece written from the heart. This is why it is essential to flow with strategy, create a conversation between yourself and the customer, make them ponder on what you’re saying. I like to use hard hitting questions, as this starts to get the target audience to use their imagination and relate those questions to their own life situation. Resulting in a more engaged read for the viewer.

Face to face is how I like to conduct the communication between myself and my partners, zoom or a meeting. Just so that I can gauge everything I need to know and how I can adjust my writing to benefit your company.

I hope this was insightful about my story so far and my agency. I believe honesty and genuineness gets you a long way.
